Hi sweet friends. I’m so glad you are here. My name is Kerry. I have been a follower of Jesus for over 30 years. My husband, Keith, and I met in 1985, married in 1994, and are raising two wonderful boys. Our families have lived in Austin for over 40 years and can’t imagine living anywhere else. Keith is an estate planning attorney, licensed Christian counselor, and Extreme Flag football coach to our sons. He is the most even-tempered man I have ever known. Our boys are in the teen/pre-teen stages. We also have three very active dogs: border collie, lab mix, and German shepherd. So it pretty much goes without saying that my home is very active and loud. But I would not trade the crazy for anything in the world.
In December of 2020 my life took a dramatic turn. I was diagnosed with bilateral breast cancer, something that I had feared and prayed against for years. Since then, I have been on a journey that is totally transforming my life. As I am going through chemo, and with the upcoming surgery in a few months which will all hopefully eradicate all cancer cells from my body, I am also going through a transformation through my walk with God. He has been preparing me for this time and has led me through His Word in so many wonderful ways. Please join me as I hope to document this journey and share my experiences for those who are going through not only a cancer diagnosis, but any trial. My journey from fear to faith has been wonderful so far.
