You may have heard the term “You are what you eat”. This is true because our bodies respond to the food and drinks we consume. The fuel we put in produces either a strong, healthy body, or one that is severely lacking in nutrients. The same is true for our minds. What we allow our minds to think about will direct the attitudes we have, the choices we make, and the people we become. I have found that it is through studying God’s Word, meditating on Scripture, and applying what I have learned that I experience success. Not worldly success in the form of popularity, money, possessions, or intellect. But success in being the person He has called me to be. Only through His Word can we experience true joy. True peace. Find lasting love. If you are new to reading the Bible, start small. Choose one or two verses and commit them to memory. Think about how they can be applied to your life. Pray over them. Then watch the amazing transformation that will most surely occur. Your life will be transformed by the renewing of your mind, according to Romans 12.
