Colossians 3:13 Father, help us to live our lives forgiving those who offend us. Help us not to hold unforgiveness in our hearts. May we forgive as you have forgiven us.

Matthew 5:38-42 “You have heard that it was said, ‘An eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth.’ But I tell you, don’t fight back against someone who wants to do harm to you. If they hit you on the right cheek, let them hit the other cheek too. If anyone wants to sue you in court and take your shirt, let them have your coat too. If a soldier forces you to walk with him one mile, go with him two. Give to anyone who asks you for something. Don’t refuse to give to anyone who wants to borrow from you.”

Luke 6:35-37 “I’m telling you to love your enemies and do good to them. Lend to people without expecting to get anything back. If you do this, you will have a great reward. You will be children of the Most High God. Yes, because God is good even to the people who are full of sin and not thankful. Give love and mercy the same as your Father gives love and mercy. Don’t judge others, and God will not judge you. Don’t condemn others, and you will not be condemned. Forgive others, and you will be forgiven.”

Romans 12:17-21 “If someone does you wrong, don’t try to pay them back by hurting them. Try to do what everyone thinks is right. Do the best you can to live in peace with everyone. My friends, don’t try to punish anyone who does wrong to you. Wait for God to punish them with His anger. In the Scriptures the Lord says, ‘I am the one who punishes; I will pay people back’. But you should do this: ‘If you have enemies who are hungry, give them something to eat. If you have enemies who are thirsty, give them something to drink. In doing this you will make them feel ashamed.’ Don’t let evil defeat you, but defeat evil by doing good.”

Matthew 6:14-15 “Yes, if you forgive others for the wrongs they do to you, then your Father in Heaven will also forgive your wrongs. But if you don’t forgive others, then your Father in Heaven will not forgive the wrongs you do.”

Romans 12:14 “Wish only good for those who treat you badly. Ask God to bless them, not curse them.”

Leviticus 19:18 “Forget about the wrong things people do to you. Don’t try to get even. Love your neighbor as yourself. I am the Lord.”

Leviticus 19:18 “Do not seek revenge or bear a grudge against anyone among your people, but love your neighbor as yourself. I am the Lord.”

1 Thessalonians 5:15 “Be sure that no one pays back wrong for wrong. But always try to do what is good for each other and for all people.”

Colossians 3:13 “Don’t be angry with each other, but forgive each other. If you feel someone has wronged you, forgive them. Forgive others because the Lord forgave you.”
